Geocache Description:

CALLING ALL CITOZENS!
THIS IS THE ANCHOLME/BRIGG CITO.

EVENT START TIME 10.30 AM

PARKING: For those wishing to attempt the Naughty or Nice series we would suggest parking at Ancholme Leisure Centre, DN20 9JH

For those heading straight to the CITO, if you park near N 53° 33.408 W 000° 29.846, GC49H9E then find a path through the industrial estate down to the river.

ANY LITTER PICKERS, RUBBISH BAGS, SPARE GLOVES, WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL.

Folowing on from the success of Darleygirl's CITO last year we have been looking to hold another one and this appears to be the perfect time. Anyone attending a CITO event over this weekend will earn a nice shiny souvenir for their geocaching profile. Plus they'll be able to sleep that bit more soundly knowing they've done something good for Mother Nature.

So, why Horkstow? Well, it's not Horkstow anymore as someone has gone done our job and cleaned the are up! Hence why we are moving it toward Brigg.
There is still an abundance of caches there (I know lots of you will have done'em, apologies. But there is the Curly McWurly's nearby resurrection challenge cache), hopefully this will be a draw for those who are perhaps unsure about attending a clean-up event. Sadly, there is also an abundance of litter along the banks of the Ancholme and a large fly-tipping site.

All cachers are welcome. If you've never attended an event please do come along. I promise we will make you feel very welcome.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW...

1) North Lincs council and Brigg town council have said they will provide litter pickers and bags. I am unsure as to how many yet so please come prepared, just in case.
2) The area is muddy and slippy and in the UK (high chance of rain/sleet/snow/fog/thunder/frogs). Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
3) The whole CITO will take place along a river bank. ALL children must be supervised at ALL times.
4) Your health and safety is your responsibility. Please do not exert yourself and do not work alone.
5) N. Lincs Council will collect the rubbish on Monday 22nd April.
6) One of the Fretts/Mummy McWurly will have a logbook for you to log in your attendance.
7) PUB...Arties Mill. DN20 9LF. Let us converge there post CITO (it's also on the Naughty or Nice circuit) They do a carvery and beer and a nice menu and beer.
