Geocache Description:

Cache Information
The cache is small snap lock container

Location information
Willesborough Windmill was built in 1869 by John Hill, an Ashford Millright and was a replacement to an earlier smock mill.
The mill was worked by the Cornes family until the First World War, and then by the Manwaring family from 1920 until 1938 when the mill last worked by wind.
The mill was then sold to T Denne and Sons and used for storage. The fantail was sold to Barham mill in 1946 and installed on that mill. In 1969 the mill was bought by Tom Robbins and remained in his private ownership until it was eventually bought in a very dilapidated state, it was fully restored in 1991 to its former glory by the Ashford Borough Council. It is built on a two storey red brick base and is a Grade II listed building.

The opening times for the windmill are:
23rd March to 29th September Saturdays and Sundays only from 2pm to 5pm
Wednesday afternoons in July and August from 2pm to 5pm.

This is not the first time this area has had a cache, there was one here back in 2008, however that was recently archived, but this cache is in a good location to hopefully attract visitors to this area.

Some interesting geo-cacher facts from the original listing:
10th cache for PPRDG0.
167th cache for Bacas.

The cache is located in a clearing and can be reached via:
1. A short walk from the recommended parking along a path within a tunnel of Hawthorn. - Mind your head.
2. Limited parking in 'Windmill Close' however this road is fairly narrow so please ensure you do not obstruct other residents access or driveways.

At the time of placing on the 08/02/2013 the cache contained:
Small log book, pencil in resealable bag.
Small resealable bag for trackables and swap items.
A personalised FTF token

Please replace the cache in the same place as you find it.

Congratulations on FTF by Bacas at 8:10pm on 08/02/2013.
