Camp Kilohana is also known as the "Girl Scout" camp. It is a beautiful wooded area on the Saddle Road. Unfortunately it is not open to the public, so the cache is NOT inside the campgrounds. You do not have to enter the gate and please do not climb over. Congratulations to Leenah for FTF! And thanks for the wonderful day of geocaching on the Kohala side. We will come to Kona soon for more fun!
Cache is a micro and is on the ground. It should be a quick park and grab. Someone muggled our original cache so we put an emergency replacement in. Today (may 19, 2013) we found that one has gone missing as well. We are gave it one more try and went back to the "cash" theme. Unbelievably, someone pried off the "cash" (a coin) and kept it. In the process of checking on the cache, however, we found the replacement cache that we placed after the first time the "cash" cache went missing. So we are temporarily doing a "cashless" cache until we can get a coin back on the other one.
