A Nice Hike and View
The trailhead and parking area is north of Osage Park Rd about 0.4 miles west of Osage Cove Rd. The hike roundtrip is 1.5 to 2 miles long. You might wish to bring a drink and picnic lunch. You may be lucky and observe deer, turkey, and other wildlife. I placed the cache a day after rainfall and saw sign that the trail is heavily used by deer and racoons. As you near the cache, you will go through a steel gate. The trail splits just past the gate - bear left. The cache overlooks Kaw Lake. The cache is difficult, 3.5 - 4, but the hike is on a good trail which is mostly level. You seek a 1 x 3 inch cammo taped pill bottle which is not on the ground or in the rocks. The shoreline is rocky and steep - access by boat is possible for the more adventurous and nimble among us.
