This cache is in Brooktrails, CA. Its out a hiking trail that gets more difficult during the winter. Something really different and a fun area to mess around if you like the outdoors.
Here are the directions to the parking lot at the trail head:
From HW 101 turn onto Sherwood road in Willits
Left on Primrose Drive
Right on Poppy Dr.
The little parking lot next to the bridge on Poppy Dr across from Lake Emily
Take the Thimbleberry trail from the parking lot (green post sign) out over three or four creek crossings (sometimes tricky) and turn right at the last crossing onto the Calypso Orchid trail (green post sign is Last Chance & Thimbleberry trail). Follow the Calypso Orchid trail to the end and find the cache! There are PINK ribions marking the trail from the Thimbleberry trail & the Last Chance trail. The Pink Ribbons are to the right follow them it will take you close to the cache.
P.S.
The terrain rating is based on most times of the year when its raining or has rained as the creek crossings are somewhat difficult. Hints for crossing the creeks: first crossing just wade through or gingerly step on rocks, second crossing stay to the left and don't cross the water. The Calypso Orchid trail is over grown, expect lots of brush and a few sticks in the eye if you aren't careful.
