Craigie Burn Quarry Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

sarlacii: This cache constantly goes missing, unfortunately, as the area is frequented by those using the quarry. Rather than replacing it regularly, I am archiving it, to allow the farmer to only wast some precious time on the other caches in the area.

Thank you for those who logged it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a short series, based around the original "parent cache" Robert Hart and the History of Glen Avon, and is placed at the entrance to a local farm quarry.

NOTE: Please replace the cache as you found it!

As you make your way further up the mountian, you'll pass a number of farms after Glen Avon. One of these is "Craigie Burn", the quarry of which forms the basis for this cache. This quarry has been used over the years to supply dressed stone for the building of fences, buildings and other stone structures on the farm. The scene at this point is of the rugged moutain, with a valley opening up on the other side. Enjoy the misty view if you're lucky enough to get a cool day.
