Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of caches which are placed at or near village halls and community centres. A series which I hope other cachers will add to and expand into other areas. See the bookmark list for all the caches in the series.

The cache is an easy offset multi. Please take care of the road especially if with young children as there is no pavement.

Rookesbury Hall Newtown


Rookesbury Hall is a Village Hall built in 1914 for the benefit of the rural community. A piece of land behind the hall was later purchased to make a car park and stop off road parking and in 2001 the tiny village hall won funding of £1,850 by the Millennium Festival Awards to bring its community hall to 21st century standard and to make the brick building suitable for disabled and elderly people, this included installing a new kitchen. The hall has a portable stage and a committee room along with a kitchen and toilets.

The given coordinates will take you to the hall car park where you can find the answers to the following questions .

The Postbox is number PO17 AB
The stone plaques at the front of the hall were laid on June CD/EF
