Geocache Description:

The original home of Eric the Viking travelbug. If he's not home when you visit, he'll be travelling around NZ.  Should be an easy find if you don't mind putting your hand into holes!

This is/was the original home of Eric the Viking travelbug.  If he's not home when you visit, he's travelling around NZ, and hopefully will return home some day ready to start another adventure!  Sign the log to let him know you called anyway 

Once Eric is on his way, I'll try to put some small items for trade in the cache.

Should be an easy find, especially if you don't mind putting your hand into dark holes! If you can't find it, you'll be barking mad and probably hit your forehead with your palm when you do find it 

The cache is in a 70 km/h zone, so please take care when pulling your vehicle over, and keep an eye on any children you may with you.  There is ample roadside parking, and this is a relatively low muggle zone!  The cache is best found by southbound travellers (so they don't have to cross the busy 70 km/h main road), but northbound travellers are welcome to look for it too if you're prepared to risk the crossing!

No tools are required, but please take a pen or pencil for the log.

If you are heading south, be sure to visit Te Takere - Levin's fantastic new library, cultural and community centre at 10 Bath Street!  Use their free wi-fi or a public PC to log your find on geocaching.com, and have a relaxing coffee and nibbles at the cafe while you're there.  The Visitor Information Centre is also located just inside the main doors, so take some time to find out more about the beautiful Horowhenua or book some transport or accommodation.
