If you head out on trails in upper Glenrosa you should be prepared for animal encounters. In the area are wolves, moose, and cougars and bears. Take along some form of protection like bear spray. Cache in a nice area, close to the road for us fearful cachers, who need a quick cache. Snow will slow you down, but might be findable.
I've gone through at least #10 Answering Machines, I don't know why. I recently looked at my messages, I hadn't looked at the machine for quite a while so there were a few beeps waiting for my attention. The first call was a light in the Night blinking at me. It was a request to fix a traffic light that was out. The next beep was a request for me to attend an accident, hopefully no injuries. The next beep let me know my phone line was out of service. My provider had stopped transmitting. I was to use caution when using my phone. The next message I Was unable to copy, so I deleted it. I had to return to the base, so I could hear it at all, before I gave up and went on to the next message. The call following was to let me know my tour of duty was over and I could return home :) The next call said my phone was now working and that the signal was good. They called back to say my machine had recovered and I could reply to message. The final message was a call to go geocaching, which I received clearly! See you on the trails!
