Welcome to the second season of the Amazing GeoRace. Similar to the Amazing Race the Amazing GeoRace is where teams of geocachers (consisting of one ore more people), who have some form of a preexisting personal relationship, race around Hampton Roads in competition with other cachers.
WARNING: The bounce can put you anywhere from within 10 FT to 60 FT!
Cachers strive to arrive first at "Pit Stops" at the end of each leg of the race to win prizes and to avoid coming in last, which carries the possibility of elimination or a significant disadvantage in the following leg. Contestants travel to and within multiple counties in a variety of transportation modes, including cars, bikes, trucks, bicycles, taxicabs, trains, buses, boats, and by foot. Clues provided in each leg lead the teams to the next destination or direct them to perform a task, either together or by a single member. The team that arrives first in the final leg is awarded the grand prize. To get to the Pit Stop, it is necessary to complete the following caches: Route Info, a Detour, a Roadblock, and the Pit Stop. To get the coordinates for a particular point of you will need to gather clues located in one or more of the caches in this Second Season. Keep in mind that the coordinates in any given point may or may not be given outright. For this series DO: Replace every cache as found. Follow all instructions. Use your brain. Bring a friend. Have fun. DO NOT expect to complete this series in one day.
