I want to bring attention to something that upset and what better way then with other people who appreciate the natural world around us...
We had an alligator cross our yard and seek shade in the Texas heat, now we were worried about the neighborhood animals and called the Game warden. Whom was suppose to bring someone out who could handle a 8 foot alligator( thats how long it was)
They sent out a single person?
I am a strong woman, but I would not take on an alligator of that size myself. She also said it was aggresive. My husband and myself sat in chairs next to the tree it was in for the hour and a half it was there before she   got there not once did it attempt to get us.  She just could not handle its size or weight and instead of calling for backup or allowing us to help her, she shot it in the head. ( It did attract a lot of attention, sadly everyone who saw it wanted to kill it for the meat.  I am sure so did the warden.) I called the person above her very upset because when I found out she was going to kill it I told her to leave it alone. It was my property I did not want her shooting on my property and since the alligator was on my property it was mine to deal with. I would wait for a better option. She ignored me and told me to shut up.

I am doing this cache to show awareness to everyone, yes alligators are dangerous, but only when you attack them first on land they aren't prepared for a fight and heck in the texas heat they arent prepared to even cross the street til dark.
Sadly this alligator meet its end to human kinds weak mind and lack of compassion.
