It's 5 O'clock Somewhere! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NCreviewer: The tone of the 5/1/14 Temporarily Disabled note leads me to believe that this one is not going to be maintained. If this is the case, then an Archival is in order. This is a slightly more permanent option. If I am mistaken and the CO does plan to restore the cache, I can easily unarchive this if it still meets the guidelines. Contact me through my profile; I won't see logs posted to the cache page.

Geocache Description:

This hidden gem is tucked away in a sound-side community in Frisco, NC.  Public access is allowed, but dogs on a leash please!  To begin your journey to the final coordinates listed, begin at the intersection of N.C. Hwy 12 and Sunset Strip! If you are having a hard time finding it, check the hint for a little more information.

This is a great place to enjoy with the family. It is one of those places that you likely wouldn't know existed if you didn't find this cache.  There is a special sense of anticipation as you walk down the long boardwalk that so tenderly characterizes the beach experience here on the Outer Banks!  At the lapping shores of the Pamlico sound, you will find sea critters like hermit crabs and NC blue crab. Swimming, fishing, and kayaking are possible to do from this site.  There is a small rock barricade that houses many interesting marine plant life and shellfish. Above all, the sunset is phenomenal.  You can sit down on the bench and look out onto the horizon and see nothing but the orange-pink-purple hues of a good ol' fashioned Outer Banks sunset. Furthermore , there is lots of drift wood to scavenge and many beautiful examples of coastal architecture on the trip in. The cache itself is a glass bottle with a neck about the size of a half-dollar, so if you're bringing anything to put inside keep diameter in mind!
