A short 2-stage multi in rvstauff tradition. Final is a nice big AMMO CAN !!! What else, considering the subject, right? (Edit... Thanks to bad guys, the ammo can was stolen. I have lost too many ammo cans to count - won't be buying any more. The container is a camo-taped large plastic container.)
This cache is FINALLY placed as I had intended a few years ago. You may remember (I don't) that I was attacked by an unknown assailant - most likely Donta Cache - while placing this cache the first time. (Look up my cache, "General Theme Cache", http://coord.info/GC2RJJG)
This is my "Theme Throwback" cache for the GCGC's cache contest. It's appropriate because it "throws back" to by old "Murder Mystery" cache that's now archived. This cache fits the "Movie" throwback theme.
I happened upon all the components necessary for this cache today while cleaning out the garage, and thought I would go ahead and place it. My apologies for those that found "General Theme Cache" - you may not be too challenged, since this is a kind of a redux, but it's fun anyway! Thanks to Failed Apparatus for the ammo can - I've been holding onto it for too long. Thanks also to GirlScoutBarrett for the log and some swag I placed in the cache to start it off.
FTFer is welcome to take the beer stein in the Ammo Can - why a beer stein in a "Platoon" themed cache? Good question. My wife was wanting me to get rid of it, and I couldn't throw it out. I guess it's fitting - Charlie Sheen no doubt consumed lots of beer during production of the movie!
