This cache is located on the Little Si trail, a bit past the halfway point. It's located in the section that has always been my favorite part of the trail. The woods and moss filled rocks seem magical in this part of the hike. It's always reminded me of a section of a hike in New Zealand to Harwood's Hole, with beautiful mossy filled rocks. Anything that reminds me of my time in New Zealand makes me happy.
The trail can be a high muggle zone as it's a very popular trail available year round. Tree cover and the rock wall do make GPS reception a little tough, so I added a higher difficulty rating on this one.
The cache is located about 15-20 feet off the trail on the left side (as you're heading to the summit) to the right of a slight side trail. It's near the largest rock fall you'll see on the trail, about 500-600 feet past the bench in memory of Doug Hansen. The cache is hidden at the base of a tree close to the rock fall.
This is an image of the cache location as seen from the trail.
