”Nutid i samklang med medeltid” är förre museichefen i Kristianstad, Thorsten Anderssons, ord om Emmislövs kyrka. Det låter som en slogan och tänk så rätt han har. I Emmislövs kyrka möts medeltid och modern tid på flera sätt. Kalkmålningar från högmedeltiden och 1950-talet samsas i kyrkorummet. Den romanska kyrkan försågs med torn så sent som på 1800-talet.
Emmislövs kyrka är navet i en levande by på en plats som varit bebodd sedan förhistorisk tid. Landskapet bebos, odlas och vårdas. Här har funnits så spännande inslag som ett badhus och kommunens första bibliotek. Badhuset låg där församlingshemmets parkering nu är. Det revs på 1960-talet.
Du behöver inte gå in på kyrkogården för att hitta cachen, men gör det gärna ändå! Ta också en titt på kyrkan. Den är tyvärr inte öppen för besök, men har Du tur så finns en kyrkvaktmästare i närheten som kan låsa upp.
Kyrkans personal känner till cachen och den är placerad med deras tillstånd.

"Present in harmony with the medieval" are the words of the former museum director in Kristianstad, Thorsten Andersson, about the church in Emmislöv. Medieval and modern times meet in many ways. Lime Paintings from the High Middle Ages as well as from the 1950s coexist in the church. The church tower was built as late as the 1800's.
The surrounding landscape has been inhabited, cultivated and nurtured since prehistoric times. This very small village had its´own bathhouse and the municipality's first library was situated just here. The bathhouse was demolished in the 1960s.
You don´t need go to into the cemetery to find the cache, but do it well anyway! Also take a look at the church. It is unfortunately not open to visitors, but if you are lucky there is church staff working at the cemetary. They will help you if you ask.
Church staff know about the cache and it is placed with permission. Attention, bring your own pencil!
