Bender, another former community along the defunct "Peanut Line". The Peanut Line, a short CPR railway that ran from Wolseley Sask to Reston Manitoba, was abanded in 1961. Due to the early abandonment of the rail-line, a solitary grain elevator remains as a landmark overlooking Bender Lake. The near-by brick building was the school. In later years, when the site was occupied, it was converted to a garage/shop.
