Spring is Here in Montevallo Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

blackframz: Very sad to see this one go. Unfortunately I am forced to archive this cache due to the host container being completely gone. The only thing left laying on the ground was the cache container which is a matchstick holder painted to resemble the light blue with brown specks of a bluebird egg. Someone physically removed it from the tree. It was too unique for me to replace. This was my favorite cache that I have made, mostly because it was one that my dad & I worked on together. I came up with the idea & he with his engineering mind helped me bring that idea to a reality. Thanks to those of you who hunted for this cache & enjoyed it enough to give it a favorite point. Much like Eclipse being gone...this cache being gone is like the end of an era. Doesn't mean I'll quit placing creative caches...it just means they'll need to be hidden deeper into the woods. Cache on guys!

Geocache Description:

Small cache container cleverly hidden by a place that used to offer great food/coffee/books to recharge yourself before a day of Montevallo area caching!

You are looking for a small container creatively hidden by what used to be Eclipse. Sadly Eclipse is no more.  Finding this cache shouldn't be a problem, but you'll find this to not be your average P&G. This will take a little physical action on your part to reveal the cache. After logging your find please make sure that the cache is put back exactly as you found it so as to be ready for the next cacher that comes along.

This cache is very special to me in that it's the first one that Dad (Robert Bullock)& I worked on together. He had been sick and in the hospital for over a week and was still recovering but agreed to help me over a weekend. The concept was mine and the execution of that concept was Dad's. He made my idea a reality! It was a true collaboration. This cache is for you Dad!

Congrats to DrDFrid on being the FTF!
