This cache is located at Lookout Mountain Flight Park, the largest hang gliding school in the United States. Each year, we teach, certify and solo more pilots than any other school. They offer camping and lodging in the LZ( landing zone). Amenities include: cabins, clubhouse, bunkhouse, bathhouse, swimming pool, volleyball court, horse shoes, shaded pavilions, and much more. We’ve been the no. 1 hang gliding school since 1978.
So, enjoy your surroundings, and if the winds are blowing the right direction,, you might be able to see us fly. Or better yet, maybe take a tandem flight for yourself.br /> Rules of the flight park:
Don’t drive on the field, ever. If you have to go to the camp ground area, please take the road from the south end of the field. There’s plenty of parking on both ends of the field, and at the clubhouse.
Don’t go around the cabins, people live here. The bunkhouse is located on the north end of the field, and you can rent a bed for the night there. Or, there are cabins to rent. Of course, primitive camping is available also. People around here are pretty friendly, and helpful. If you need something ,ask someone.
You are looking for a camo-tube with only a log, so byop. This can be muggle central,,but then again,,only the people that work here, live here. So, do the best that you can at stealth. If there is a class,students, or tandems watching a video on the tv,,do not hunt for this one at that time. Go for the other 3 caches and come back later. When I return home, I will be moving this cache away from where it is now. We are not to interupt the operations of the flight park in the slightest. We are able to do this with permission, but if we are hindering, we may loose the sight. Let's not let that happen. Stealth please.
