This is not easy to find. Very well disguised, and not something as it appears to be.
These caches are located at Lookout Mountain Flight Park, the largest hang gliding school in the United States. Each year, we teach, certify and solo more pilots than any other school. They offer camping and lodging in the LZ( landing zone). Amenities include: cabins, clubhouse, bunkhouse, bathhouse, swimming pool, volleyball court, horse shoes, shaded pavilions, and much more. We’ve been the no. 1 hang gliding school since 1978.
So, enjoy your surroundings, and if the winds are blowing the right direction,, you might be able to see us fly. Or better yet, maybe take a tandem flight for yourself.
Rules of the flight park:
Don’t drive on the field, ever. If you have to go to the camp ground area, please take the road from the south end of the field. There’s plenty of parking on both ends of the field, and at the clubhouse.
Don’t go around the cabins, people live here. The bunkhouse is located on the north end of the field, and you can rent a bed for the night there. Or, there are cabins to rent. Of course, primitive camping is available also. People around here are pretty friendly, and helpful. If you need something ,ask someone.
You're looking for a waterproof matchstick tube well camouflaged. First attempt at this one,,I hope this one is fun & very challenging. Some thorns, and Muggles around so be careful. We are a pretty tight knit group, and protective of our place. So, if anyone asked you what you're doing,,tell them you're Geocaching, with Permission from Matt & Dan. Shawn Sanders is over operations in the landing field, and takes his job very serious. But, He is a great guy once you get to know him. Just no BS ! !

There's always a party on Saturday nights, during the flying season. Some good food, a keg sometimes, bonfire if it's cold enough, and new friends to meet.
Be careful though,,,you might want to try flying yourself,,,it's more fun than should be legal ! Congrats to Smurphette for the FTF !!!! Glad that you had a great time at the flight park ! !
