פארק נחל אלכסנדר מוכר בזכות חוף בית ינאי היפה, גשר הצבים ופינת הפיקניקים הסואנת ליד חורבת סמרה. אנחנו מציעים לכם לסייר בגבעות החול היפות הצמודות לכביש החוף. בחורף ובאביב המקום מכוסה בשמיכת ירק ופרחים, יש מעט אנשים והמקום אידיאלי לרכיבה על אופני שטח.המטמון נמצא במקום יפה באמצע הטבע. הקושי העיקרי במשימה היא להגיע למקום החניה. עקבו אחר ההוראות המפורטות בהמשך וראו את הקואורדינות לחניה. למרות הקרבה הגאוגרפית – אל תנסו לחנות לצד כביש החוף ולהגיע משם למטמון
הוראות הגעה מכיוון דרום:
נוסעים צפונה על כביש החוף, עוברים את מחלף בית ינאי ואת נחל אלכסנדר שעובר תחת הכביש. מיד אחרי הנחל פונים ימינה (מזרחה) בירידה מהכביש המהיר לדרך כורכר. מולכם תראו חווה לחקלאות ימית, פנו שמאלה בדרך כורכר. הדרך ממשיכה מזרחה ויורדת לחורשת איקליפטוסים. המשיכו בדרך הראשית לכיוון מזרח. אחרי כק"מ תגיעו לפיצול דרכים – סעו בדרך השמאלית. הדרך מתפתלת, ואחרי כמה מאות מטרים מגיעים לפיצול נוסף – שוב סעו בדרך השמאלית. הדרך יוצאת מהחורשה ונוסעת במקביל למסילת הברזל. נוסעים כ 10 ד', ממול רואים את הארובות של חברת החשמל. פיצול נוסף שמאלה מוביל מערבה לעבר מיכל המים העשוי מבטון. בנקודה זו החנו את הרכב. מכאן יש ללכת ברגל כחצי ק"מ צפונה עד לנקודה.
יציאה דרומה:
אם תרצו לצאת צפונה חזרו לחווה לחקלאות ימית והשתלבו צפונה בכביש המהיר.
אם רוצים לפנות דרומה יש להמשיך בחווה לחקלאות ימית ישר לכיוון דרום, ואז לפנות בדרך המשובשת ימינה (מערבה) ולעבור מתחת לשני הגשרים. לאחר הגשרים פנו ימינה בכביש הכורכר ושוב ימינה לכיוון מחלף בית ינאי.
The Alexander Stream National Park is known for its beautiful Beit Yanai beach, the turtle bridge and the picnic area near the Samara ruins. We invite you to walk amidst the lovely sandy hills adjacent to the coastal #2 highway. In the winter and spring the place is covered in a blanket of greenery and flowers, there are very few people, and it is an ideal spot for biking.
The cache is hidden in a nice place surrounded by nature. The main difficulty in this quest is to find the parking. Follow the detailed instructions and see the parking waypoint coordinates. Do not be tempted by the proximity of the cache to the highway – there is no access from the highway.
How to get to the parking spot:
If you come from the south you drive Northward on the #2 highway. You pass the Beit Yanai interchange, and the Alexander stream that flows beneath the highway. Right after the stream, take a right turn (east) and get off the highway to a gravel road. In front of you, you will see an aquaculture farm. Take a left on the gravel road. The road goes to the east thru a Eucalyptus grove. Stay on the main road to the east. After 1 km. take a left in the fork. The road winds and after 500 m. take another left in the fork. The road leaves the grove and parallels the railway tracks. Drive about 10 minutes, in front of you, you will see the chimneys of the electricity company. Another left turn at a junction will take you west, towards a concrete water tank. Park your car here and walk about 500 meters north to the cache.
Returning Southward:
If you wish to drive North go back to the aquatic farm and turn right to the highway.
If you wish to drive South, keep going straight after the farm, and then turn right in a faulty road under two bridges (West), take a right on the gravel road, and then another right that will lead you to the interchange.
