Geocache Description:


Another word-find puzzle, this time at Googong Dam. The topic is about Australian dams, weirs and reservoirs. Like always, this unknown cache is not at the listed coordinates.

To find the coordinates to GZ, you need to figure out the attached word-find first. Then you need to record the remaining letters from top to bottom; left to right. This will create the name of another dam. Then using the letter values (A=1, B=2, C=3, Z=26, etc), convert the letters to numbers. Add all the numbers together to get a three digit number. Then do the following calculations to get the GZ coordinates:

Subtract the three digit number from the south decimals.
Add the three digit number to the east decimals.
Confirm your coordinates using this website: (visit link)

The cache is at a small picnic area and lookout. This will give you a nice view of a section of the dam. Take the time to look around Googong Dam to see the many things it has to offer, including the caches. The cache only contains a log - BYOP.
