Geocache Description:

Hidden in Gonzales Hill Regional Park under the roots of a tree about 65 meters in elevation.

Witch's Hat is the nickname of the stone monument at the top of Gonzales Hill. From the viewpoint across the road, you will see great views of the Olympic Mountains and the Juan de Fuca strait on a clear day. The terrain is safe for kids. The view from the cache site is generally towards the northeast and east.

This is a Halloween themed cache. Look for a 1 liter tupperware container with a white lid clearly marked as a geocache. Contents include:

  • A pair of fangs
  • Googly eyes
  • Rubber snakes
  • Rubber bats
  • "Dracula" medallion
  • Glowsticks
  • Logbook and pencil

Make sure you cover up the cache once you find it, otherwise it may get stolen. Watch that you do not disturb the saplings near the tree.
