I Hate I-5 Too!! (Can I go caching for a break?) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hemlock: Obviously 180 miles is an obstacle to replacing this cache. It's now been disabled for almost 9 months, so I'm archiving this cache to free the area for someone else to place a cache.

When/if this cache is replaced, please email me at hemlock@geocachingadmin.com and if it is still within the guidelines for cache placement and posting, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is.... **2** **2** **2 CACHES IN ONE!**

I thought I'd do something a little different... A virtual cache, with a physical cache just a couple hundred feet away. To successfully "visit" this cache, you have to answer the questions to the virtual cache, and then find the physical cache. (The virtual cache is not a clue to the physical cache, they are just close to each other.)

The cache is only around 10 minutes off I-5, so this would be a great break to the monotony of the freeway. (Plus, MAYBE, a chance to stop at Harris Ranch. They serve up the best slab of dead cow this side of "The Big Texan" in Amarillo!! If you're there for breakfast, they serve a wickedly good plate of tri-tip and eggs.)

The virtual cache is at the above coordinates. As always, please do not give away any of the answers as part of your visit report. Please Email me with the answers. The questions are...

1: A California celebrity died at this spot. Who was he?

2: How did he die?

3: When did he die?

After you find the virtual cache, your next task is to find the physical cache. It is at the following coordinates:

N 36° 14.818 W 120° 18.865

The original container is gone, and has been replaced. (Thanks again to cacher yar?yar!) The container is now a regular sized screw-top container, just under a gallon. (The size of those cookie/biscotti containers).

Good luck, and HAPPY GEOCACHING!!
