Jennifer's Cache is in tribute to the great employees of Shawnee State Park. They have made our camping adventure a wonderful experience. We have named this cache for Jennifer, the Account Clerk in the Park office. She is a delightful person full of enthusiasm and energy. We are so happy we had the opportunity to meet her. She is a geocacher so stop in and say "Hi".
This cache is a large camouflaged container. It is placed in Shawnee State Park, with permission from the Park Service. We are visiting this area for the first time and have been camping in the wonderful campground since February 14, 2013. It has been quite an adventure doing this winter camping trip and we have been the only people camping here. We have had a variety of birds near our camp site, adding some new ones to our life list. We have taken many of the incredible roads throughout the Shawnee State Forest and surrounding areas, visiting many historic spots and finding geocaches. We are thrilled by the history of this area and the friendliness of the people we have encountered.
We hope one day to return to this interesting area and meet up again with our new friend, Jennifer.
