This Cache is located in the worst hit area during the record floods,it's located 12 inches (30 cm) below the flood height so the shorter Cachers can reach it. You are looking for a PVC tube on the wall
THE 2013 Australia Day weekend will be remembered for the wrong reasons by Bundaberg businesses and residents alike due to another heavy downpour of rain, and the threat of rising flood waters to the city.
As the Burnett River kept on rising, over 1000 North Bundaberg residents had to spend the night in emergency accommodation after flood waters forced them to evacuate by choppers from their homes, But at least they were safe as Bundaberg suffered its worst flood ever recorded. Areas along the northern side of the Burnett River have been the worst affected. North Bundaberg well"It was a scene of utter devastation," "Houses are not there any more. There's roads that are not there any more. Even the new Tallon bridge just up the road from this cache was damaged, with a large section of the road and foundation washed away, As one army officer said and I quote (“It's as bad as a war zone”)
Houses had been washed from their foundations and several homes are missing entirely with no clue to their final resting place. An exclusion zone was put in place in north Bundaberg where at least 30 homes were lifted off their stumps or cut in two and others severely damaged. by the unprecedented flood disaster. Roads, power, water and sewerage lines were also washed away during the floods
There were emotional scenes in North Bundaberg when hundreds of residents returned briefly to inspect their properties and to collect valuables and pets that may have survived. Some were not able to enter their homes because of flood damage, , while those who could were not allowed to clean their property. The northern suburb was hard hit by the flooding and an exclusion zone was put in place.
