In celebration of my first year anniversary of geocaching, The big epic puzzle star is my present to you.
Mathematicians seem to love this question. I wonder if you will?
How do you make 4 litres of water when all you have is a 5 litre bucket and a 3 litre bucket? (and an endless amount of water)
Here are your 7 possible actions.
1. Fill the 5 litre bucket with water. 6, 3, 8
2. Fill the 3 litre bucket with water. 2, 9, 7
3. Empty the 5 litre bucket of all the water onto the ground 7, 4, 1
4. Empty the 3 litre bucket of all the water onto the ground 5, 0, 5
5. Pour the water from the 5 litre bucket into the 3 litre bucket. (pour the entire contents or until the 3 litre bucket is full. Remaining water in 5 litre bucket is not to be emptied.) 3, 5, 5
6. Pour the water from the 3 litre bucket into the 5 litre bucket. (pour the entire contents or until the 5 litre bucket is full. Remaining water in 3 litre bucket is not to be emptied.) 1, 2, 6
