This cache is located in the Mackay Creek greenbelt on the west side of the creek. The cache is a screw-top canister.
Mackay Creek is a salmon bearing stream in North Vancouver. A new trail was built through the Mackay Creek ravine in 2012, connecting Sowden Park in Pemberton Heights with Heywood Park which has a fabulous adventure playground complete with a zipline and salmon-shaped sandbox. The trail provides access to the shops on Marine Drive and Capilano Mall. Most people who use this trail are accompanied by at least one dog. This cache is named after our German Sherpherd, Kooteni, who runs this trail every morning.
