Geocache Description:

DO NOT GO FOR THIS CACHE DURING HUNTING SEASON (DEC 1 TO MARCH 31) EXCEPT ON SUNDAY WHEN THER IS NO HUNTING.

This cache will not be for everyone.  If you are a geocacher who is after "the numbers" this cache is soo not for you.  If you miss the old days of geocaching or if you are a relatively new geocacher and want to try something different, have a nice long hike and adventure and enjoy nature, this could be for you.

ATTENTION-CAUTION--ALERT  You will have to walk about 3 miles roundtrip on a pristine beach and spend up to two hours and ONLY have one cache to show for your effort.  This one is not about the cache, its about the journey.  For people that have been caching for awhile, it should remind you of some of the very nice caches of Hart612 who has since retired to Florida.

I had considered placing a few more caches to make this a little more attractive, but from the BeachFront Property cache to here there was no location to place a cache that would survive the next storm and flooding.  The large bison tube cache is wired to a location that is not going anywhere.  You can even see GZ general location  from more than 1/4 mile away.  Besides the Osprey platform where the cache is located, there is another strange man-made structure close by, but I am not sure what it is.  At this location you will be looking at the St Jones River where it meets Delaware Bay.  Across the river is Bowers Beach.

There is an alternative if you dont want to take the walk.  You can drive to within 0.2 miles of the cache, but there is a slight problem of getting across the St Jones River.  You could do it that way as 5 terrain cache, either making a 0.1 mile very dangerous swim, or by watercraft launching at Bowers Beach.  If you auto-navigate directly to this cache you will be faced with that problem or a 20 mile drive back to the parking area at north boat launch in Ted Harvey area. USE THE PARKING COORDINATES!

Congrats to tsgtbdl for the FTF
