Geocache Description:

This cache has been planted by the Burrell Collection’s Learning & Access Team to celebrate the museum’s 30th birthday.

For anyone who has never been to the Burrell Collection or doesn’t know their Glasgow history …..

Situated in Pollok Park, the Burrell Collection is home to the eclectic collection of Sir William Burrell, a 19th Century Glaswegian shipping magnate. On his death in 1958 Sir William left his collection of nearly 9000 objects to the City of Glasgow and in 1983 a purpose built museum opened to house them. The collection consists of Medieval tapestries, Chinese ceramics, French Impressionist paintings, Ancient Egyptian statues and much, much more. This quiz cache is designed to give you a flavour of the Collection whilst bagging a cache.

The co-ordinates given take you to the front door of the Burrell Collection and the answers to the questions can be found inside the museum.

The museum is free and the opening times are as follows:
Mon-Thurs & Sat 10am-5pm
Fri & Sun 11am-5pm
(Closed 1st & 2nd Jan, 25th, 26th & 31st Dec)

Once you have found all the answers substitute the co-ordinates & go get the cache! (The cache is hidden within Pollok Park, just a short walk from the museum)
