The end of the Great War
This cache will bring users to an abandoned building which played an important role during the war. The building was called the Western Union Cable Office, and was the main source of contact between Europe and North America during the great war. Even locally, people don't realize the significance of this building. This cache used to be a tabacco container over near the wall of the building, but unfortunately it has been destroyed. I moved the coordinates onto the other side of the fence accessed from Blower Street, and it is now a camo'd micro. Contains a log only, so bring a pen! It's name, November 10th, 1918, is significant because on that day, the office received a coded message telling the operators that effective 11am the next day, all fighting would end on land, sea, and air. Our little town knew before the rest of the world that the war has ended, and most people don't even realize this happened literally in our back yards. Please log any DNFs. Happy Hunting!
