A miniature cache placed in a challenging position on publicly owned land (Round Mountain Road) . It is not neccessary to encroach on private land to retrieve it . A piece of stick could be a handy recovery tool.
If coming from the Pacific Highway, exit at Clothiers Creek then Wattie Bishop then left into Round Mountain Rd . If from Coast turn off at Showground and follow your nose . Road section is sealed all the way
Whilst here look around and observe the contented bovines. Take time to consider how protein enters the food chain and ends up on the plate of all humans who eat meat . The land around you has over the years produced combinations of bananas, milk and beef. There is also sugar cane in the area. We must preserve our farmlands - that's where our food comes from.
Koalas have been seen in the area however they are extremely rare and you may consider yourself very fortunate indeed if you see one.Wallabys can be seen now and again. Under no circumstances should you disturb the wildlife .
DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT JUMPING THE SURROUNDING ELECTRIC FENCE as it marks the boundary of private property . Should you do so "Diesel" ("The Dog Who Takes No Prisoners") will be let loose and will take a piece out of your hide!
