Geocache Description:

OK, folks, spring is in the air. Let's get outside. Come to the event. Then go cache. Seriously. Do it.

So the official start of spring was March 20. I figured 10 days should be enough to hopefully ask Mother Nature to be nice and hook us up with a sweet day to get together for an event.

Shake off all that winter rust. All those indoors things and such. It's time to get outside. Breathe a little.

What do they say about spring?

Well, Robin Williams said "Spring is nature's way of saying 'let's party!'" Longer days. Warmer (hopefully) days. A crisp smell. Creatures coming to life. There's a reason why it's said that love is in the air -- it's because spring is a great season!

Now it's time to dig out the GPS. Find the hiking shoes. Stretch a little. Loosen up those muscles. Then get outside. Yeah, that's fresh air! Breathe it deeply! Realize how great it is to be alive!

So, this is how we'll do it -- much like the fall tailgate breakfast. If you're coming, bring something to pass. Don't go too crazy so we don't have a ton of leftover stuff. Basic things though. Some refreshments and some geocaching friends. It's a good time, yeah? Let us know what you are bringing so the list can be updated.

Let's plan on this one running from 10 a.m. to noon, give or take.

Being there's no reservations yet for the pavilion, we'll do it in the back. If somebody should happen to get there before us, we'll just move to the nearby parking lot and do it there. After all, we're tailgating in a way!

This event will be held rain or shine (for the most part). IF the weather is really bad, check here the morning of the event and see for an announcement. If it's awful, we'll postpone to the rain date of March 31, same place, same time. But it's going to have to be really bad to postpone.

Dog note -- because I've noticed more people caching with pooches and mentioned that to some of the park people, they reminded me to tell cachers that dogs are welcome in the park, but they must be on a leash at all times (even in the colder weather)!

See you at the event!
