Aries was a Barred Owl that was injured and was not able to fly. He was given a nice home at Five Rivers Educational Center for more than a decade and greeted many children and adults. Unfortunately, on February 15th 2013 he passed away. Five Rivers is not only where I found my first cache, but where I hid my first cache named "Aries Lives Here" which is now archived. This cache is dedicated to my feathered friend, Aries.
Hours are Monday through Saturday 9:00 am- 4:30 pm. Closed Sunday and state holidays. The trails are open dawn to dusk. The Center is also host to many of mother nature's creatures. Come and see the deer,turkey,heron,owls and beaver along the miles of trails. More about the Center click here: Five Rivers
