Panega Dark Hole

The beginning of the Geopark "Iskar-Panega" lies around the roadside Sofia-Pleven-Rousse, shortly before Lukovit.
From here begins the first in Bulgaria Riverside Landscape Park "Panega". The route follows the valley of the River Panega (tributary of Iskar). The river originates from one of the largest karst springs in Bulgaria Chapter Panega, located about 19 km south of Lukovit. In the area around the town Kotlen is most pronounced and impressive old meander in the country, called by experts "woman." The huge amphitheater meander boilers is so impressive that the various rock figures are given local names: Radetzky ship, nose, barrel, bolt, whirlpools. There is a belief that water, vegetation and rocks form at this point, create a special habitat and natural life energy, relieving migraine and nervous tension, especially when healing Bezbrod pond. On rocks on wooden platform passes over the river and enters into a short but impressive canyon. Panega Dark Hole cave unexplored until now shrouded in speculation.

Панежка Темна дупка

Началото на ГЕОПАРК “ИСКЪР–ПАНЕГА” е край шосето София–Плевен–Русе, малко преди град Луковит.
От тук започва първият в България Крайречен ландшафтен парк “Панега”. Трасето следва долината на река Панега, приток на Искър. Реката води началото си от един от най-големите карстови извори у нас Глава Панега, разположен на около 19 километра южно от Луковит. В местността Котлен край града се намира най-ясно изразеният и впечатляващ стар меандър у нас, наричан от специалистите “старица”. Огромният амфитеатър на меандъра Котлен е толкова впечатляващ, че различните скални фигури са получили местни наименования: Корабът Радецки, Носът, Делвата, Резето, Въртопа. Има поверие, че водата, растителността, формата и скалите на това място, създават особен жизнен биотоп и природни енергии, облекчаващи мигрена и нервни напрежения, особено целебни при езерцето Безброд. На скален откос по дървена платформа се преминава над реката и се навлиза в къс, но впечатляващ каньон. Тук се намира. Панежката Темна дупка e неизследвана до момента пещера, забулена в догадки.
Пещерата е суха, температурата във вътрешността и е непроменлива и е около 10-15 градуса. Красивите малки зали ще ви отведат до края на пещерата, където ще намерите кешът в дъното зад камъни.
