The N4 bypasses Mullingar on its way East to West....
The Westmeath TB Portal is a nice easy stop off with lay-by parking for all vehicle types and can be accesses by the footpath although it is near a busy road junction so care is needed.
This TB Portal has links with England, Wales and Spain! Any Travel bugs that are placed here may end up at any of these locations or maybe even further afield..... you may want to ensure that your TB has a passport stating where it might like to go!
The Portal only opens once every eight weeks or so and therefore it can be used as a normal TB hotel - with a chance of it being zapped! No warning of the opening of the Portal shall be given!
Access is in the Delvin bound layby (It's a busy road so please do not park in the Mullingar bound lay-by and cross over)
The portal is a simple 4" cliplock container and is hidden from being seen easily. Please make sure you hide it agin to prevent it being "muggled".
