This cache is one of 3 new caches I have placed in Cwm Bodlyn. They are all small clip and lock containers with just a log book, pencil and sharpener in them.
The caches are all located in quite remote unpathed terrain a fair distance from the nearest tarmac road and for that reason I have given them a slightly higher terrain rating than I would have if there were obvious paths and they were less remote.This particular cache is placed just below the col(bwlch) between Diffwys and Crib y Rhiw. I will leave the fun of route planning to yourselves, the only thing I will say is that I think it is slightly easy to descend the cwm from the col rather than ascend it from Llyn Bodlyn. There are plenty of other caches on the nearby ridges as well as in the valley making a nice (long) circular route possible. It could be combined with the ascent of Y Llethr and Crib y Rhiw.
Cors y Gedol car park (well worth £1 in the honesty box to maintain this valuable provision of parking) above Dyffryn Ardudwy and Talybont is probably the nearest car park.
