Geocache Description:

Another cache place close to the tow-path on this section of the beautiful Grantham Canal.

This is a small cache which is only big enough for the log - you will need to bring your own writing implement. As is often the case, tweezers may be of assistance in extracting the log.

There are many other caches on or near the canal tow-path and this section is becoming increasingly well populated with a variety of caches placed by several different cachers. So whether you only have a short time and can only do a few or feel more engergetic and want to do Roger Rabbit's "Rabbit Ramble" all in one go, there is something for you here .

Grantham Canal is a fantastic place to take a walk or cycle ride. The tow-path surface varies considerably along it's 33 mile length but here it is mainly flattened hardcore and therefore pretty reasonably drained. It would be suitable for cycles and buggies although it may be difficult to get a larger buggy through the access points. Unfortunately, although the tow-path here may well be suitable for an all-terrain wheelchair, I don't think that you would be able to access the path - sorry - hopefully things may improve in time.


Whilst the canal is, in general, a safe, family environment, the water is cold and deep, so the usual caveats about children and water clearly apply, so please be safe and have fun
