This small series of caches are placed on a narrow country lane starting in the village of Thorngumbald and ending at the tiny hamlet of Cherry Cobb Sands. If you follow the road to the end you will come to Stoney Creek, here you can take in views of the creek itself or go for a wander down the banks of the Humber - great for dog walking. If you cross the creek over the bridge this brings you to Sunk Island which is an area of highly fertile land reclaimed from the sea. Hope you enjoy
You will notice on reaching the parking area that there is a sign on the gate saying "Private No Right Of Way" there is no right of way for vehicles down this track but there is permission to walk down it. Please park sensibly and don't block access for farm vehicles. When walking down the track which can become quite wet in winter please keep dogs/kids out of the fields. This cache will not be accessible to wheelchair users as they would not be able to round the gate (sorry).
The cache is placed on a popular dog walking track so stealth may be required when retrieving, please make sure it is replaced exactly as found so its not accidently discovered by nosy pooches.
Please be careful near the drain as it can get quite deep
