KLIPKOPJE DAM
Klipkopje dam was established in 1961 as a reservoir and irrigation dam. It was built by the local farmers without any government funding. It was first called the Danie Joubert dam, after the then MEC for the Eastern Transvaal, but the name was later changed.

- Surface area : 2,354km²
- Height of wall : 20m
- Length : 431m
This is a very popular dam for fishing and water sport. Klipkopje holds a healthy bass population and is suitable for both bank and boat angling.
- Target species: Bass, bream and carp
- Permits: Provincial angling license, entrance fee and boat launching fees. Managed by LABA (Lowveld angling &boating Association).
- Facilities: Allocated braai areas, camping, toilets.
