Geocache Description:

This is a series of caches that visit every SAASL Saturday Premier Division 2013 club's grounds. Games are played most winter Saturdays, between 11.30am & 5pm - either avoid these times, or come along and watch (and use stealth).

The South Australian Amateur Soccer League Inc. (SAASL) is the major organizational body for non-professional soccer in South Australia and is the State's largest management body for senior level Amateur Soccer.

In early 1965, eight factory-based teams gathered to kick-off their first season of organized soccer. This was the birth of the "Sunday Industrial League". It changed its name to become the South Australian Amateur Soccer League the following year. New clubs came to join the founding eight clubs, and the fledgling League soon grew to become a major force in South Australian soccer.

The League now conducts a number of competitions for its member clubs to contest. Currently all matches are scheduled for Sundays and Saturday afternoons.

Each cache in the series has the team colours painted on the container and there is a number printed on the inside of each cache container. This number could be useful in solving the final mystery cache of this series. You will find this cache, within viewing distance of the goals.

MA HAWKS
The Messinian Association Hawks Football Club was first established in 1987. The Hawks entered the SAASL in Sunday Division 5. In 1991, they transferred to Saturday Division 2 whereby the club rapidly evolved, culminating in a league championship and promotion to the first division in 1993.

In the subsequent years, it failed to achieve premiership success and was relegated to division 2 in 2000. It relocated to King's Reserve Torrensville in 2002 and won promotion to Premier Division in 2004.
