Heres a question. Why do all our Geocaching events have to be in the evening? A famous explorer once said "Geocaching is best on a Sunday morning with a full stomach" and I agree with him (or her!). So come join us early Sunday morning to fill your stomach, have your fill of geochat, and fill your mind with ideas for Sunday caching!
This inaugral event of my new baby, the "Swedish Breakfast" series, will take place on Sunday, 7th April starting from 930am. We'll meet in the restaurant on the very top floor of Ikea (go in via the main entrance under the building and just follow the escalators) at one of the tables near the window down the very far end of the restaurant, furthest from the tills. The restaurant opens at 930am so I imagine I will have my food and be seated at about 945am. If you're eating, I would suggest getting food before meeting the group due to drinks offers that may be on from 930am to 1000am.
There is however, absolutely no requirement to buy food or drink at the venue; however I would imagine it is hard to watch other people tearing into bacon and sausages when you're having nothing :) We will be onsite probably until about 1130am or as long as we want.
This will be an opportunity to help travel bugs and geocoins on their way as well as eat a hearty breakfast ready for your own Sunday caching adventures. Bring your own personal coin/bug selection for discovery and bring your questions about that annoying puzzle along too. You may (or may not) get help! If you have any plans for upcoming caches, this event would be a great time to discuss them with the group. If you're thinking of going to your first event, come along! We don't bite.
I've long said Sunday is the best day for Geocaching, let see if it can be the best day for events too!
As an aside, I also have to buy flower pots while I'm here, don't let me forget!
To/from the event:
There is an absolutely incredible amount of free parking in the Ikea carpark so car is by far the best way to get here. Unfortunately there is no bus service from the city center at this hour on a Sunday.
