Ce sentier de quelques km prend ~1 heure en chaque direction. Ideal pour explorer la Chartreuse d'Oujon, qui est la plus ancienne en Suisse. Au milieu de ce sentier il y a un grand terrain ideal pour les picnics/barbecues.
This trail of a few km takes ~1 hour in each direction. It is great for exploring the Charteuse of Oujon, the oldest monastery in Switzerland. In the middle of this trial, there is a large field, ideal for picnics and BBQs.

La chartreuse Notre-Dame d'Oujon, fondée en 1146, située dans une clairière du Jura sur le territoire de la commune d'Arzier en Suisse est la plus ancienne chartreuse en Suisse. Elle fut supprimée, en 1537, lors de la Réforme. Des fouilles archéologiques entreprises dès 1945 ont permis de mettre au jour les vestiges de ses bâtiments.
The chartreuse Notre-Dame of Oujon, founded in 1146, is located in a clearing on the Jura. Situated on the territory of the commune of Arzier, it is the oldest monastery in Switzerland. Due to the reform, it was removed in 1537. Archeologists have been restoring this location from 1945, allowing tourists to visit this historic site.

La chartreuse peut être accédé par plusieurs chemins, qui mènent de Arzier, Begnins, ainsi que de France. Le sentier géocaching est situé le long d'un chemin passant d'un petit parking à Arzier, par une route de montagne, a travers une belle terrain de pique-nique/camping, puis le long d'un chemin forestier jusqu'au le site. Environ 70% du chemin peut être parcouru en voiture, ou même 95% si vous êtes très aventureux.
The monastery can be accessed from several paths that lead from Arzier, Begnins and even France. The geocaching trail is set along a path going from a small parking area in Arzier, along a mountain road, through a nice picnic/camp ground, and along a foot path to the site. About 70% of the way can be travelled by car, or even 95% if you are very adventurous.

Sentier de la Chartreuse

Cette série de caches a été placé comme projet final de scout, avec l'accord de la commune d'Arzier. Nous avons seulement mis les caches dans des lieux accessibles au public, et nous nous sommes assurés qu'aucune de ces caches ne peux pas perturber des autres activités. Certains des caches sont DIY, construit à la main à partir de matériaux recyclés.

This series of caches was placed as a final scout project, with the approval of the commune (Arzier). We only placed the caches in publicly available places, and, we made sure that none of these caches were in the way of anything else. Some of the cache containers were DIY ones, built by hand from recycled materials.
