International CITO Weekend
Auckland West

As part of the International CITO Weekend, the Auckland Mega Team is hosting 4 CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) events around the Auckland Super City on the 20th of April 2013. Together we can help clean up these areas and at the same time earn ourselves some smileys and a special CITO Souvenir.

The schedule of CITO events for the day are as follows:

Event Description GC Code Time
West CITO A clean up of the Te Atatu Peninsula shoreline between Kelvin Strand and Harbour View Rd. GC48ED5 9:00am to 10:30am
North CITO A general clean up of Rosedale Park North in North Harbour. GC48ZXG 11:00am to 12:30pm
East CITO A clean up of the Mission Bay Reserve and Tamaki Drive area. GC491H8 2:00pm to 3:30pm
South CITO A general clean up of Ray Small Park in Papakura. GC48ZE7 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Wrap Event A chance to relax with a beer or other beverage of choice after a good day out around Auckland cleaning up the city's beautiful parks and green spaces. GC48ZET 6:00pm until late

The Auckland West CITO event will be held at Te Atatu Peninsula where we will attempt to clean up as much as we can of the shoreline between Kelvin Strand and Harbourview Rd within about one and a half hours (don't worry, it will be low tide). This CITO event will run from 9:00am to 10:30am.

Rubbish bags and hygiene gloves will be provided. Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy shoes, and don't forget to apply sunscreen and wear a hat if it's hot and sunny. Full rubbish bags will be left at an agreed spot for later collection by the Council.

See you there!!!
