Ten miles above the port of Hilo, you can begin to hear God's voice on the winds.
The Saddle Road is a cross-island short cut that runs through the middle of Hawaii Island. On the Hilo side of the Saddle, the Hawaiian rainforest is still alive from the rains and fog that blanket the area almost daily.
This cache is hidden just pass the 10 mile marker from the Hilo side of the Saddle, not far from the side of the road. Parking can be found along the shoulder where it is wide. at this elevation,away from the civilization, one can become one nature, and all that Akua and the other gods have provided. Except for the occasional passing cars you are alone to geocache in peace.
Enjoy the quiet view and say a thank you for all that is good. This place was pretty clean of trash when I placed the cache, but remember to CITO whenever possible,as always replace the cache EXACTLY as found....have fun and be safe!
