Reflecting Upon The Past - Dept
| Sometimes it's worth taking the old highway, overgrown with yellow-flowering French Broom, as it is becoming. Quieter and usually a bit slower back here. While there isn't much traffic, do be mindful others continue to use the road and yet some people do live along the old highway. This was the main route between San Jose and Santa Cruz until the straighter Highway 17 was built. Imagine packing up the family in the old Six-Packard and meandering this concrete stretch down to the shore for a the weekend. |
