Geocache Description:

When tourists first disembark from the Mui Wo ferry from Central the first photograph that they take, almost without exception, is of the hundreds of bicycles parked at the ferry pier. No matter what time of day or night one arrives, there will be a full bicycle lot. Most are shocked. ‘Why are there so many bicycles here?’ they exclaim. The answer, of course, makes perfect sense.
The bicycle may be giving way to cars in mainland China, but in Mui Wo they are still a way of life. Before the peaceful and serene country dwellers of the Mui Wo hamlets commute on the ferry to the lesser island of Hong Kong, they must first commute to the ferry pier on a bicycle. What about the bicycles left overnight? I sense you thinking. Strangely enough, there are some people who commute to Mui Wo to work. These include teachers and government services workers. There are also people who only come over on weekends to enjoy a bit of the quiet life. The remaining bicycles are abandoned or damaged or some such reason.
The cache is a non-traditional container situated in the middle of the mayhem of bicycles. It is easily accessible on foot, but a wheelchair would unlikely make it through all the spokes and tires. The GPS signal is not great here and the container is unusual so the difficulty rating is high.
