Did You Bring Your Pole? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

smoortz: Well, it's a sad day. I HATE archiving a cache, especially if it was a good one. Unfortunately this area is just getting to trashy and there are lots of problems with illegal activity including but not limited to littering, arson, theft of railroad materials, and just plain being a jerk. The railroad company that owns this land hasn't posted it yet but has placed cables across the road to stop people from driving back in here and I think that's enough for me to merit pulling these three caches. It was fun while it lasted, but I don't want to have to trespass to recover my containers as I anticipate that they will post this property in the future to try to curb some of the dumping, fires, and thefts that have been occurring here.

Geocache Description:

Cache holds only a log so please bring your own signing tool.  And your fishing pole if you're so inclined.

This is another stop along the Muddy Creek basin.  This waterway is the main source of water to Lake Arthur, The centerpiece of Moraine State Park.  Bring your pole and stay a while.  The northern Pike are biting, and the carp are as big as submarines.

The cache is free, but the bait is not included; but if you look hard enough you might find both.

P.S. This is an area in dire need of CITO.  All of the runoff in this area ends up in Muddy Creek, then Lake Arthur, then Slippery Rock Creek.  Obviously many people who frequent this area don't consider the ramefications of littering.
