This is the site of filming for the 1958 cult classic "The Blob" starring Steve McQueen.
"The current location sits where the diner used in the 1958 sci-fi horror film ‘The Blob’ once sat. In the film, after narrowly escaping the Blob, movie patrons from Colonial Theater (Phoenixville) run across the street to the diner (in actuality the two buildings are over 18 miles apart). Sometime after production in the 60′s, the diner used in the film was moved to a set in Hollywood. While the building is different , it still rests on the original basement which was used in the film."
