Geocache Description:

Many of you I'm sure know the story of Easter Bunny; but did you know that Easter Bunny came from a family of 5? In fact most all of Easters brothers and sisters went on to do great things. There was Reese Bunny who invented peanut butter filled eggs, Patricia "Peep" Bunny who discovered a way to mold sugar into small chickens (the neighborhood squirrels loved these). There was Larry Bunny, or as his friends called him "Lazy Larry" well really Larry didn't do much of anything important. There was Lester Bunny who got an engineering degree from ITT Tech and developed all the tunnel systems that Easter later used to deliver all the goodies on Sunday morning; and then finally there was Ester Bunny. Ester and Easter were about as close as any brother and sister could be. Where Easter went, Ester was sure to follow(normally getting him out of trouble). These two bunnies were nothing alike though; night and day really. Easter was the explorer; mighty and tall; brave to the point of stupidity really, and always looking for adventure. Ester was more reserved and careful; always pondering how the world worked and wishing more to read of adventure rather than risk hide and hair with her brother. From day one it was always decided that Easter would carry on the family business, but that didn't mean that Ester wouldn't be right there beside her brother, on the sidelines, unnoticed but far from invaluable. In fact truth be told if it wasn't for Ester there would probably be no colored eggs on Sunday morning. But enough of all this talk, we need to get to the heart of the matter; Esters extraordinary experiment because that's why we are all here right? Well did you ever wonder where all those eggs came from? I mean I've seen lots of movies and read lots of stories about it. Back in the day the Bunny family would just get together and dye them. But there are WAY to many people on the planet to do that now. Everyone has there own theory or idea about how its done. Most just chop it up to magic or something that just "is" but I know the truth because I found out directly form the source; Ester herself! So what is the secret you ask? Well I don't want to spoil the surprise; Besides I cant really just go posting it on the internet for the whole world to read now can I? So I'll do the next best thing; I'll guide you to where it all began. The process of making colored eggs has long since been moved to a top secret location that even I am not aware of, but I can take you to the historic place where it all began. A place deep in the wetland woods where Esters dream first became a reality; with a small chemistry set and a big imagination. It's a bit worn down now but you can still see what remains of the miracle that once was. Take a few minutes to look around and if you look careful enough you may just find a alter that the tree fairy's built in honor of Ester and her accomplishment. In fact I hear that from time to time people on great pilgrimages still stop here and leave offerings. Be aware though that only those who know the secret to the the alter can open it. We can't just have anyone taking all the goodies for themselves now can we? Keep in mind though it was built by fairy's with little hammers, little nails and lots of tree sap. So don't force it; it will open easily once you open your mind. So that's about it; The history of the Bunny family; most importantly Ester and her forgotten role. Oh one last thing; Ester wanted me to tell everyone that she has left a family heirloom at the alter. It has great meaning to her but she wants to share it with everyone; some kind of coin or something she wasn't really clear. I don't know but she said who ever finds it will understand. Anyway's happy hunting and be safe!
