As members of our caching team, Grandpa, Chucky, Samson, plus Ginger and Dooney the GeoDogs have all had their own caches for awhile, Grandma is long overdue for one of her own. This cache is all hers, and it highlights one of her many talents, her skills in the kitchen.
This is a theme cache, please be prepared to trade items involved in the preparation and serving and eating of meals. The cache is well stocked with many things of this nature, and has room for more. It will be appropriately resupplied as needed.
The cache is in a small wooded area of pines on private property. Permission was granted by the original owner, Mr. G, to park at the end of the driveway near the mailbox. Do not block the drive or park on the county highway. Walk approximately 200’ south. This woodlot is fenced in with barbed wire, but a large opening has been created on the north side and should be used as the access point.
Like many of our other Gram&Gramps caches, this one is quite large and easy to find. It is well off the ground and winter friendly. However, there may be snowbanks to climb over in the winter, and you will need to hang on to mini cachers when out near the road.
Many thanks to Mr. G. for allowing this cache! He was excited about the placement, and was a great help in getting it put out. Unfortunately Mr. G passed away quite unexpectedly and we had to disable the cache. But his heirs now have the property, and have consented to keeping it active. If you see them, consider expressing your appreciation as well. This is Grandma's cache, but it will forever be dedicated to and in memory of a great guy, Mr. G. Rest in Peace, Bruce. Our caching buddy Chucky also had a hand in the placing of this cache.
Congrats to lbaum412 on being the FTF of this cache.
